Rwanda Rukeri BP1 is a black tea from Rukeri estate in Rwanda. BP1 refers to the highest grade of broken pekoe tea. Rwanda Rukeri BP1 is a favorite of tea lovers who like strong tea. It has a bright taste and a strong flavor. This tea is favorable to a Kenyan tea or Assam tea. This cup is loaded with hints of malt, molasses and subtle wine with a delicate pleasing astringency and full bodied finish.

How to Brew

Steep for 3-5 minutes @190-209 degrees

HOT TEA:
Bring freshly drawn cold water to a rolling boil. Place 1 tsp of tea for each cup into tea pot. Add boiling water. Cover and let steep for 3-7 minutes. Add milk and sugar to taste. Acceptable to consume 'straight up'

ICED TEA:( 1qr/ltr)

Place 6 tsp of tea in a heat resistant pitcher. Add 1/14 cups freshly boiled water. Steep 5min. fill the serving pitcher 1/4 way with ice water. Add steeped tea and fill with ice water. Garnish to sweeten. (note: top quality tea may cloud when iced ( its ok) due to their naturally high flavonoid polyphenols levels) Enjoy!
