Peak Coffee & Tea is a specialty coffee roasting and tea company located in North Billerica, Massachusetts. Roseanne and Peter, a husband and wife team, founded Peak Coffee & Tea to provide customers with exceptional coffee and tea and to inspire people to achieve their dreams and reach their potential.

Peak Coffee & Tea specializes in roasting specialty 100% Arabica coffee and sourcing the finest teas from around the world. Each coffee is artfully roasted in small batches to extract the best flavor. "Like wine, each coffee has a unique aroma and flavor. We roast each coffee to capture its uniqueness and complexity" - Peter.

Peak carries a great selection of Fair Trade Organic coffees, single-origin coffees, and custom whole-bean blends. Peak carries a great selection of high quality black, green, herbal, and rooibos teas available to order by the ounce. Peak Coffee & Tea specializes in shipping their products to customer's homes, and offers a free rewards program.

Based on a Family Tradition in Kenya

Peter's father, Samuel has been farming coffee for more than 50 years in a village called Kairi in central Kenya. After getting his education, he joined the Kenya Coffee Research Foundation, one of the best known coffee research institutes in the world, where he worked for over 30 years.

He used his aquired knowledge at the research institute to develop and manage the coffee farms he operates today. 

Samuel inspired Peter to found Peak Coffee & Tea. While visiting the United States, Samuel found it hard to find a good quality cup of coffee. A conversation with Peter about his hard-pressed coffee experience evolved into a business concept and eventually Peak Coffee & Tea.

Three Generations of Coffee and Tea farming

Peter's grandfather, Bernard Kamau, farmed tea for over 6 decades. His tea farm is located in Muranga, a tea farming district in Kenya. Peter has fond memories of spending time at his grandfather's tea farms.

In his early years, Bernard operated a very popular Tea and Mandazi (fried dough) shop in the village center. Bernard was very generous and would often give free tea to his customers. This idea helped Peak Coffee & Tea develop their core mission of making a difference.

Philosophy

Peter and Roseanne strongly believe in inspiring and making a difference in people's lives. This philosophy is at the core of Peak's business philosophy from how we treat everyone: customers, employees and associates, business partners and suppliers.

Peter is the co-founder of Leaders of a New Generation (L.O.N.G.), a grassroots leadership program focused on training the youth to be effective self and community leaders. With it's head quarters in Kenya, L.O.N.G is making its way into schools in the United States allowing children to connect and speak about their learning experiences with other L.O.N.G students in Kenya. Peak Coffee & Tea supports L.O.N.G by donating a share of it's profits to L.O.N.G.

Peak Coffee & Tea recently released The 3 Month Mission to expand other non-profit organization's impact, and continually improve their mission of making a difference with great coffee and tea.
